Vehicle Damage Standards
In order to eliminate the differences as much as possible in prices charged for repairs and compensation due to differences in areas, shops and personnel, Rental819 sets "Vehicle Damage Standards" for all of our rental vehicles.
This page describes the definition and determination of damages and repairs based on our Vehicle Damage Standards.
Non Operation Charge（NOC）
- ◆ This will be charged when the damage is classified as medium or severe.

- If you can bring the motorcycle to the shop by yourself: 20,000 yen
- If you cannot bring the motorcycle to the shop by yourself: 50,000 yen + tow track excess charge
(If the mirrors or lights are damaged, please ask for a tow track. Riding the vehicle in such condition is prohibited by law.)
- ◆In case of theft: 50,000 yen + Deductible of theft compensation*

- In case of the event of theft, in addition to NOC, the customer will be charged 50% of the remaining vehicle price because the basic fee includes theft insurance which covers 50% of the market value of the vehicle.
- ◆In case of loss of key: 20,000yen + Key replacement fee
About Non Operation Charge(NOC)
In case of accident or turnover, we will request compensation when the rented vehicle cannot be rented again for repair.
This "Non Operation Charge" will be charged separately even if you have subscribed to the "Collision Damage Waiver".
Damage level and the amount of NOC
All vehicles supplied by Rental819 are repaired and replaced based on the Vehicle Damage Standards criteria.

Riding with mirrors, blinkers, headlights or other security components in a damaged, broken or missing state is not only legally punishable, but also extremely dangerous. Please ask for a tow track. Riding the vehicle in such condition is prohibited by law. Even in case of a return by forcibly driving in above conditions, you may be charged a 50,000 yen Non Operation Charge based on the damage standard.
Free towing service is available up to 20 kilometers. If the tow track uses a toll road, the toll fee and the towing fee over 20 kilometers will be borne by the customer.
If the damage level is medium or more, you will be liable for Non Operation Charge (NOC). Since the extent of damage to the vehicle varies with each incident or accident, we make a judgment based on "whether or not the customer is able to return the vehicle to the shop safely on his/her own" as a reference. However, there may be situations where the rider was unable to ride or not sure the damaged vehicle can be driven. Therefore, under certain special circumstances, please ask the shop staff about the amount of NOC, as it may change regardless of whether or not towing service is used.
Definition of Repair/Replacement and Labor cost
The repair or replacement of parts is judged according to the condition of damage.

Damage evaluation criteria
The Damage evaluation criteria is an original judgment standard set by Rental819. For damages that can be "repaired", such as "scraches and dents", the damage ratio of the part is determined according to this criteria.

Damage evaluation criteria does not apply to the "break, crack, bend, deform, or tear" of the damaged parts.
In rare cases, even if a scratch or dent can be repaired, our qualified mechanic may judge that the vehicle is still unsafe to drive and replacement may be required.
Labor cost
Althouhg labor cost normally differs depending on the garages, areas, domestic vihecles or imported vehicles etc., we set a standardized labor cost for all Rental819 shops.
It does not apply in case of "repair".
The labor costs are calculated by multiplying "working hours" by the "labor rate" set by the manufacturer of each vehicle brand.
For example, if the replacement time for the lever of 'HONDA CB400SF' is set as '0.1', the labor cost is 11,000 yen × 0.1 = 1,100 yen.
If the vehicle has multiple damages, the customer will be responsible for the cost of all damages. (If you apply for CDW, the charged amount is limited to the maximum deductible for the class of vehicle.)

The part needs to be replaced completely.
As the part cost is low, the damage level is "light".

In case of a P4 class motorcycle with CDW, the amount to be paid is deductible: 50,000 yen + Non Operation Charge: 20,000 yen = 70,000 yen.
Non Operation Charge under other conditions
The following fees will be charged in case of theft and loss of key.

For keyless models, there is a possibility of replacing the whole key assembly and all costs are to be borne by the customer. As the cost is high, please keep the key safely all the time.

Definition of Total Loss and Amount to be paid
"Total loss" means a condition in which the vehicle cannot be repaired, the amount of repair exceeds the market value of the vehicle, or the vehicle cannot be operated safely after repair.
