At Rental819, we provide support with reliable insurance and compensation for unexpected situations.

Rental819 offers "insurance" included in the rental basic fee, as well as optional "compensation" that can be added for an extra fee, ensuring peace of mind with both "insurance" and "compensation" in case of emergencies.

Regarding Voluntary Insurance

At Rental819, all vehicles come with the following voluntary insurance.

Third party bodily injury/death per person：Unlimited.
Third party property damage per occurrence：Up to 10 million yen (deductible: 50,000 yen).
Passenger injury：Up to 5 million yen per person. Limited to disability or death. Motorcycles of 50cc and below excluded.

※ Due to certain circumstances, insurance payments may not be available. Please read the following insurance and compensation terms and conditions carefully.

The four services are included with optional insurance.

Roadside Assistance Service

Available 24/7 service, 365 days.
Free towing service is available up to 20 kilometers. If the tow track uses a toll road, the toll fee and the towing fee over 20 kilometers will be borne by the customer.
Some shops offer free roadside assistance up to a maximum of 300,000 yen (about 200 kilometers), so please contact us if you would like to confirm the free towing distance of your departure shop.
Quick Repair Service

- Jump-start service for a dead battery.
Some vehicles with damaged relays or other conditions where the battery cannot be recharged may not be able to be restored on-site.
If the vehicle cannot be restarted on site, a tow truck can assist to transport the vehicle to a nearby garage to replace the battery. In this case, the battery cost will be fully borne by the customer.

- Tire repair service for flat tires (*only available for tubeless rear tires)
Front tires, tires with inner tubes, burst tires, and severely damaged tires cannot be repaired on the spot.
If the vehicle is towed to a nearby garage to have the tires replaced, the customer will be responsible for the cost of repairing the damaged tires, the cost of new tires, and the cost of replacing.
Please contact the rental shop in advance for new tires. In principle, the tires must be replaced with the same model to the damaged tires.

- Fuel refueling service in case of running out of gas.

Theft Compensation

At Rental819, all vehicles are covered by theft compensation in case of theft during the rental period.

Theft compensation covers up to 50% of the market value at the time of theft, for the vehicle damage costs that would otherwise be fully charged to the customer if the rental vehicle is stolen. The deductible is 50% of the market value.

Theft compensation: Up to 50% of the market value.

※The deductible refers to the maximum repair cost that the customer is responsible for paying.
※Due to certain circumstances, the vehicle compensation system may not be available, so please read the insurance and compensation terms and conditions below.

The compensations available for selection at the time of rental are as follows:

Regarding Collision Damage Waiver

Collision Damage Waiver is a measure, to let you ride with no worries that will cover you in case of accident or crash of the vehicle. Fee and deductible differs from class to class as below.

Regarding the Deductible

It refers to the amount that the customer must bear in the event of an accident or fall.
When repair costs are covered by "Collision Damage Waiver," a deductible will apply depending on the selected plan. If the repair costs are below the deductible, the actual cost will be charged to reduce the customer's burden.

P-1・P-2 (Deductible 30,000 JPY): 1,540 JPY / day, and then daily 880 JPY
P-3 (Deductible 50,000 JPY): 2,530 JPY / day, and then daily 1,320 JPY
P-4 (Deductible 50,000 JPY): 3,520 JPY / day, and then daily 1,870 JPY
P-5 (Deductible 100,000 JPY): 3,520 JPY / day, and then daily 1,870 JPY
P-6 (Deductible 100,000 JPY): 3,850 JPY / day, and then daily 2,090 JPY
P-7 (Deductible 100,000 JPY): 4,400 JPY / day, and then daily 2,310 JPY

In case of damage to the motorcycle, the renter pays up to this amount. The excess cost is covered by the CDW （without CDW renter must pay full cost of the damage reparation).

In case of independent fall or vehicle's trouble

CASE1. Accident with another party

If you are involved in an accident or cause an accident, please remain calm and handle the situation carefully without rushing.

1. First Aid for injured person

Check for injuries and call 119 for ambulance immediately if medical assistance is required.
2.Report to the police

Call the police at 110.
3.Check the other party

Write down the name, address and contact information of the other party.
4.Contact the insurance company

Call the insurance company and report the incident. Please confirm the phone number of the insurance company on the reservation page. Multiple language service is available.

5.Contact the rental shop

Report the situation to your departure shop and follow our staff instructions.

CASE2. Accident, crash or other vehicle's problems

In case of accident without other party such as fall or crash of the vehicle, call the number written on your rental agreement and follow support staff's instructions.

*Depending on the degree of damage to the vehicle body due to a fall, you may be charged up to the maximum amount of deductible for vehicle Collision Damage Waiver.

CASE 3. Rental vehicle's theft

1. Call the police at 110.

2. Call your departure shop or support center.

Theft Compensation is included for all our vehicle's rental and its compensation covers 50% of the current motorcycle's market value. However, theft compensation do not apply in the following cases.

In case you forget to lock the handle
In case you left the vehicle's key on

*Customer is charged for any other damage included in theft damage exceeding theft compensation explained above. Therefore be extremely careful when leaving your rental motorcycle on the road.

Non Operation Charge

Non Operation Charge refers to the cost burden when a vehicle involved in an accident or fall becomes unavailable for rental due to repairs. Even if you are enrolled in the "Collision Damage Waiver (vehicle compensation)" provided by all services of Rental819, you may still be required to pay for the business compensation liability separately, so please be aware of this in advance.

Damage classification

Cases in which insurance and compensation will not be applied

In case of accidents including following conditions, you may not be eligible for insurance and compensation. Please be careful.

Unlicensed driving (including driving with an unauthorized International Driving Permit or translation documents)
Drunken driving
Driving without helmet
Accident caused by driver other than the contractor
Neglecting in reporting the accident to the police (in case you cannot obtain verification from the police)
Private settlement out of court with the other party without authorization
Failure in contacting the departure store (or headquarters) from the accident site
When the accident occurs within an unauthorized rental time extension
Vehicle damage caused by theft
Driving over vehicles permitted capacity
Driving out of public roads
Costs for repairing damage and corrosion caused by poor usage in tests and competitions, or for towing and boosting other vehicles
In case of damage to rental shop's other vehicles or signboards
Accident caused by vehicle operation mistake
In case of any violation of the rental agreement
Accident that fall under other insurance company exemption clause
